Here’s the ugly truth… anxiety is necessary, even good in some cases. It helps us to NOT die, for one thing. And a healthy dose of daily anxiety also helps us get things done, show up on time for stuff, etc.. But all anxiety is definitely not created equal. There is the “healthy kind” that helps us, and then there is the rest of it, which for some folks seems to be the majority of it. This “unhealthy anxiety” overwhelms us, often coming totally out of left field, for no apparent reason, causing us unnecessary stress and discomfort and sometimes derailing our entire lives. It’s this type of anxiety we need to learn to fight.
In this book, I’m not going to talk about the cognitive triangle or cognitive behavioral therapy or anything else like that.. this is simply a book of tips and tricks that I’ve used in my life, and anyone can use in their lives, to help fight their daily anxiety. Inside you’ll find a bunch of tricks to prevent anxiety from occurring, and a bunch more tricks to fight it off once it’s upon you.
